The name Andalucia comes from Spain and is her largest territory. The neighborhood of Andalucia comprises just a few builders but with an excellent mix of luxury patio homes ranging in size 1380 sq.ft to upscale custom homes with over 5600 sq.ft. Many of the homes here offer exceptional mountain and or Bosque (Cottonwood Forest or Woodlands) views.
Two primary builders began construction in 2006′ with a massive tract of land, builders Scott Patrick and Sky View Homes led the way at Andalucia and still offer home sites for fully custom to semi-custom home options. ASW, Summer Tree, and Pulte came on to the scene a bit later.
Other homes for sale in Andalucia include El Bosque, which is a private gated community within the parameters of Andalucia de La Luz. El Bosque offers

Just across the street from Andalucia de La Luz is a small shopping complex offering Jinja Bar and Bistro, Armando’s salon, Jake and Harley’s Cigars, LA Boxing, and Rain Tunnel Car Wash. A new Sprout’s grocery store is the anchor for a completely new shopping center at Coors and Montano. Two major river crossings are easily and quickly accessible. Several outdoor activities near Andalucia including private trail access through the Bosque (Cottonwood Forest) This excellent trail system can be walked or biked, and some equestrian travel is permitted. Petroglyph National Monument is just ½ mile to the west with a very nice trail system leading to some excellent ancient Petroglyphs to explore.
Andalucia is part of the Albuquerque Public School system (APS) S.R. Marmon Elementary, John Adams middle school, and West Mesa high school are the associated schools. St. Pius X is a private high school located just south of Andalucia, and Bosque School is an available Charter School nearby.
